Pathology Association for Students (PAS)  is a student organization at UTMB catered to providing information and opportunities to students who are  interested in learning more about the field of pathology.

OUR VISION

To introduce a passion for pathology and expand medical student knowledge of the field and the wonderful things it has to offer.

WHAT WE DO

We provide students with information about the various subspecialties in pathology, match students with shadowing and research opportunities, and provide information on national pathology conferences.

OUR COMMUNITY

Pathologists are some of the nicest people you will ever meet, they are excited to share their passion and knowledge with you so never hesitate to show your interest in the field.

Identifies pathogenic micro-organisms from patient samples.

Determines disease by examining tissues collected during surgery.

Molecular Genetics

Identifies expression of various genetic diseases through DNA.

Sub-specialty of Surgical Path focused on child disease.

Neuropathology

Determines disease involving the nervous system.
